Premiere at the Staatstheater Oldenburg
A Wedding is a celebration of love, a day a contract is made. A couple makes the promise of a lifetime. Each cultural community has it’s own rituals. At the centre of this participatory performance stands the question: What does this contract mean for the lovers and their culture? What if you and I got married now? How would the bride look? Who would celebrate with us? Upon what values would we found our marriage? And what significance would we grant our relationship and marriage? Together with our audience we celebrate a transcultural wedding as a parable to founding new societies of melting traditions and utopias.
