Gehenlassen
Hiking towards a post-work life
Taking time for a break might just be the best thing about exhaustion. If only you were not to continue as before. Lots of people share this experience. Growth’s restrictions have manifested themselves within the bodies and minds of employees. Exhaustion is a symptom. It forces people to take a break. But what happens afterwards?
Frl. Wunder AG searched for people from different professional backgrounds in Oldenburg. They have already distanced themselves and remembered: motivation and flow, organisational systems, performance, and production expectations. They remember identifying with work and remember resting. We’ve collectively developed (walking-)rituals to establish meaningfulness and idleness. During the six hour scenical pilgrim tour the hiking audience experiences collective and intimate stories and is sent onto a search for a life after work.
